HOW
TO READ BOOKS AND MAKE NOTES FOR UGC NET EXAM
Many
of the readers of my blog have asked question about how to read books. It is
indeed a tedious job to read many gigantic books for an exam like UGC NET exam.
But let me unlock the secrets of how to read books smartly and assure your
success in the exam.
The
first and foremost problem with many aspirants is that they get frightened when
they see big sized books and lose interest to prepare for the exam. This
attitude needs to be changed.
For
example, if you have a 1000 page book, don’t
get afraid. First look at how many units are there in the book. Let’s say there are 20 units. You can easily
cover the entire book in 20 days. Divide the book in to various sub components
which will ease your learning process just like Binary Search Algorithm. When I
say covering the entire book doesn’t mean to go through the entire book line by
line. Instead when you read a book attentively, you will be able to come to
know the important topics that needs to be covered well. So make short and
crispy notes of what you have read and
understood in a note book, which will act as a quick refresher guide during the
time of examination. Nothing comes easy in life. You have to dedicate time seriously
to achieve something special in life. You know it very well that “ROME WAS NOT
BUILT IN A DAY”. Success requires patience alongwith hardwork and smart work.
The
more notes you make, it increases your chances of succeeding in the exam with
flying colours.
So,
the bottomline is that you create interest towards the book which you are
learning and you will really be gaining confidence about your preparation because you
are reading the content and making notes from what you have understood. Let me
tell me tell you something, whatever you have read and understood, if you make
notes, I assure you that it will remain in your mind for a long time. Avoid
mugging up of facts(rote learning).
Never
ever loose confidence and prepare consistently. Success will definitely knock
your door.
All
the best.
With
regards,
Thanks
